Natural Light Photography

Many local beach photographers say they are natural light photographers so what is that? Well plain and simple is the they only bring a camera and shoot only with what every the natural light is that day.

So if the light out is super harsh from the sun as it is many times or it is very overcast you get very bad photos or photos with blown out backgrounds or dull looking images.

Natural light photography can be great when the light is right for it and we shoot that way when we can and the light is right for that style of shooting. But on just about every family session the light is not right for the full session so you need flash to get it right.

If your photographer is not bringing and using off-camera flash then you are being cheated out of the better quality photos you could be getting.

If your family photo session is at sunset the only way to get great sunset photos with the sun behind you that is exposed as it should be is to use flash and off camera flash produces the best look.

On a overcast day to get bright clear images it is best to use off camera flash to add some light on the subject to produce a better photo.

On harsh sunlight days we see a lot of all summer you can not put the subject facing the sun to light them us they will be blinded by the sun. This can be shot two different ways one is with natural light but to do this you need to blow out the background to be able to lighten up the subject. Many people do this with such extreme you can not longer even tell you are on a beach as it is so whited out in the background Not the best photo on the beach anyone would want.

The better way is to use very strong flash to fill in on the subject. By doing this the photo can still retain all the beautiful backgrounds of the beach, water and sky all the reasons you want to have your photos taken on the beach.

So if your photographer is not shooting both ways you in reality are only getting half or less of what you should getting for your family photos.

We shoot every session in both ways as needed as the sun changes and at sunset we are ready for the sunset photos everyone wants with the right equipment to get the job done right. This takes us bringing more equipment with us onto the beach that many others do not want to use or even know how to use.

We provide you only the best photo quality using what ever is needed at that time bases on what the sun is doing. Natural light or off camera flash we do it all.

Posing and Fun Photos

We have been doing this a long time now and over the years we have created many special group family poses. Also single person poses that work well on the beach. We have also created many fun non posed photos we shoot.

Year after year others try and copy our poses we see it all the time. But with out good the lighting like we use they never get it right.

Beach Portrait Prices

Many years ago we charged a lot more then we do now. But we now have simple basic photo packages that include everything you need at a great price. You pay one price and get it all. We do book up fast and we shoot a lot of Family beach sessions each year. We also shoot beach weddings so it becomes a first come first service booking and the sunset time go fast.

All our packages include all the edited images as high resolution images ready to print in any size you want. You images will be edited and ready to view and download most of the time within 48 hours or less. We shoot a lot of photos and groupings we have no set amount that we shoot and you get all the edited versions. In 2018 most sessions ending up in the 80 to 125 images range.

• You do not have to pay more for your images after the session we give them to you
• You do not have to pay more for the higher resolution images they come with your package.
• All you photos will be uploaded into a custom online gallery for you to view and download your images.
