New for 2024.
So what's new for 2024 well a lot. Back in the film camera days many cameras would let you shoot outdoors in bright sunlight and knock down the sun using a high shutter speed.
By doing this we could produce much better outdoor portraits like on the beach. Rich colors and much better exposures that give a better look for the photos. But when digital cameras had come out this feature was not possible due to how the cameras shutter worked with the sensor.
Its back. .. Sony did it they just made a camera that can do this and a lot more. This takes photography into another level that was lost to the past.
Many younger and starting out photographers don't even know this was a feature and have no clue how to even use it or understand why they would even want it. But photographers used this all the time for outdoor portraits in the past. When we first started doing beach portraits this was used all the time but digital wiped that out. We are super happy to see its back now.
We now have this camera and will be using it on our Family portrait jobs starting in 2024. For us this is a game changing camera that will change how we shoot for now on. We can now shoot in brighter light on the beach and get much better images and exposures not possible before. We love great color and good photo exposures and now we can do this even better. This works shooting both with natural light or with flash.

After moving away from the area for a few years we moved back in 2018.
We spent some time on the road traveling and shooting photos full time in our 40 foot bus RV we had.
When I first posted this we were in WA State and then next in to CA for Nov and Dec then on to AZ for Jan and part of Feb. Then it was back to the panhandle of Alabama to get ready for our summer family beach portraits and beach weddings. That was back in 2018.
It has been a great few years being back on the coast. Back in 2019 We moved into a home in Gulf Shores so we are close to the beach and all our jobs.
Going back many years I am sure many of you will remember us as we photographed hundreds of families on the beach in both Alabama and Florida. We went by the name At The Beach Portraits and At The Beach Weddings for many years. We sold that business and moved to Branson MO for a few years and then back to Florida down by Clearwater and we did more beach weddings and beach portraits in that area.
We had grand kids out in WA state and in MS so we ended up selling our house and going full time in our RV taking a year off and traveling and visiting them all. It has been a fun time and we have seen a lot of great places and drove the Oregon coast up 101 from CA to WA.
Then we moved back and sold our RV and want back to work doing what we do best-taking photos of you and your family.
Who Are We. Know your Photographer
We are Ed and Donna Morgan
Ed was one of the first photographers on the coast to start a website just for family portraits and also one of the first to start offering small beach wedding photography packages with a dedicated website just for them.
Over the years we crafted many family beach portrait poses that others have tried to copy and our style of lighting.
Ed also created and sold software to other photographers around the world called Hollywood Photo Magic for creating wedding and portrait album designs in Photoshop. This included making hundreds of album design templates we also sold.
We also ran for many years one of the first online photo printing services called Digi print store and an online photo sharing site called My Event Gallery.
Ed also created many movie poster recreations and shot green screen photography printing 24x36 posters of them with our own large format printers and making metal prints.
Are you into MMA Fights
For most of our time living in Branson MO Ed shot MMA fights for a regional fight group called ShoFight as their official paid photographer shooting all their fights. We also shot family portraits as well in Branson.
Ed has been in the photography and video business for over 32 years as a creator and innovator even producing many TV shows and TV commercials.
Ed also creates websites under the name Go Active Media that started on October 2nd, 2001. We still offer limited website design and hosting today as well.
